With its greens on shelves at some grocery retailers, but securing more, as fast as possible, was understandably crucial to growth. So too was fuelling confidence among the investment community to propel farm expansion. In approximately 6 weeks, our PR strategy and flawless execution resulted in 36 million earned media impressions – yielding an advertising value of close to $3M. Here’s how we did it: We developed a multi-faceted campaign starting with a newsworthy B2B program, followed by a consumer PR effort — both designed to build a narrative around the relevancy of the Canadian-founded startup. Our story was rooted in presenting Vision Greens as a leader in innovation and a startup committed to a better food system with healthy, locally grown, sustainable greens. To add texture and trust to our story, we created an intimate experience for Toronto’s top lifestyle media at legendary Italian restaurant, NOCE. We partnered with their Executive Chef to create bespoke recipes, showcasing Vision Greens, and supported this by creatively directing a day-long photo shoot to create beautiful imagery for our press, and Vision Greens’ channels. During a successful media lunch @noceto press enjoyed an authentic, Italian 6-course meal featuring Vision Greens in every facet of the delicious menu, while engaging with Vision Greens’ CEO to share the genesis of the company. Additionally, we developed a newsworthy media tour with Vision Greens’ CEO, that included 1:1 interviews with leading mainstream media, such as CBC at the vertical farm in Welland, which resulted in cross-Canada coverage.
